Case Number Customization

Case Number Customization

You can customize your case number using these parameters
T = Case Type:  You set the case type abbreviations that become part of the case number in Case Settings
Y = Year:  The two digit for the current year a case was opened
M = Month: The two digits of the corresponding month a case was opened,  Ex)  January 01,  July 07
N = Number:  The sequential number the system assigns to the case in numerical order, 1, 2 3, 4, etc.
R = Reopen:  The first case is an A.  If a client calls a few months later and wants more work on a case, you simply reopen it and the case number stays the same except the reopen letter goes to B.  Example:  S18-06-00111-A would become S18-06-00111-B
